The Jamestown Jammers have announced that the second speaker for their seventh annual Hot Stove Banquet will be former Jammer and current Florida Marlins prospect Elih Villanueva.
Villanueva was 2-1 with a 1.89 ERA in 2008 with the Jammers and played a key role in a season that finished just short of a league crown in the NY-Penn League championship. He pitched in 28 games for the AA Jacksonville Suns last season, finishing with a record of 14-4 with a 2.26 ERA and was selected as the Marlins Pitcher of the Year. He will most likely start 2011 in AAA.
This year, the Jammers have joined with St. Susan's Center to put on the event, which will feature dinner and auctions to raise money for the center.
Also speaking with be George Sisson, former Jammers assistant general manager and currently the director of stadium operations for Class AA Northwest Arkansas.
The event will be held on Jan.17 at the Lakewood Rod & Gun Club. Doors will open at 5 p.m. and dinner will be served at 6 p.m. There will also be a special menu available for all children 12 and younger.
The cost for tickets is $30 for adults and $15 for children. Tables of six or eight are available for groups.

Those interested in attending may also stop at the Jammers' office on Falconer St. or at the Gateway Center at 31 Water St. at the Gateway Center to purchase tickets.
