KENNEDY - The recent Halloween party sponsored by the Town of Poland Recreation Committee was attended by a wide variety of ghoulies, beasties, and beautiful creatures. Judges had a difficult task to pick the winners.
Following games and refreshments, the grand parade was held before the judges. Each age group went separately, and spectators were delighted with the results. In the 0-3 age group, scariest costume was awarded to Batman, alias Patrick Holmberg.
The cutest was the yellow butterfly worn by Nevaeh Latta. Most original went to Natalie Payne as a pea pod. Ages 4-6 was led by the scariest, Michael Wilson as a red ninja; cutest, the clown portrayed by Katie Lutgen; and most original, the sheriff costume of Nicholas Oakes.

Scariest costume in the 7-9 age group was the skull chef, Connor Hudson. Julia Mead was the cutest in her 50s girl outfit. Most original was Cousin Itt, aka Janie Swanson.
For ages 10 and up, the jester costume worn by Ryan Shiphard was judged scariest. Rachel O'brien, as Dorothy in the Wizard of Oz, was chosen as cutest. Most original this year was the scuba diver of Ryan Philp.
