Seneca voters will head to the polls Nov. 2 to cast ballots for governmental leaders for the next two years.
Running in Seneca Nation elections are:
Presidential candidates - Maurice "Moe" John, independent, versus Robert Odawi Porter of the Seneca Party.
Clerk - Diane Kenndy Murth of the Seneca Party.
Treasurer - Joni Brooks-Jamison, independent, versus Bradley G. John, Seneca Party.
Running for tribal council are:
Allegany Territory: Seneca Party candidates: Tina J. Abrams, Al E. George, Darryl M. John and Darlene Miller. Richard A. Frank will run independently.
Cattaraugus Territory: Independent candidates are : Diane Anderson, Sherry Lay Casey, Linda "Soupy" Doxtator and Robert "Bobby" Jones. Seneca party candidates include Bryan B. Gonzales, Travis J. Jimerson, Richard E. Nephew and Nikki C. Seneca.
Allegany Territory Chief Marshal candidate is Brandon S. Redeye, Seneca Party, running unopposed. Running for chief marshal from the Cattaraugus Territory are Joni Brooks-Jamison, independent, vs. Keith White of the Seneca Party.
Seneca Party candidates for Allegany Territory marshals are Jeremy E. Bucktooth, Joseph D. John and Stacy Maybee. There are no independent candidates. Cattaraugus Territory Seneca Party marshal candidates are: Darby J. LeRoy, Michael C. Redeye Jr., Houston W. Williams. There are no independent candidates.
Allegany assessor candidates from the Seneca party are Carolyn Brant, Gregg A. Cooper and Denise J. Hill. There are no independent candidates. Cattaraugus Territory assessor candidates from the Seneca Party are: Joni R. Jackson, Nadine L. Maracle and Susanne R. Sanford. Joni Brooks-Jamison will seek the Cattaraugus Territory assessor post independently.
Allegany Territory highway commissioner Seneca Party candidate Gary C. Sanden will run unopposed. Cattaraugus Territory highway commissioner candidate from the Seneca Party James White Jr. will face Cattaraugus Territory Independent candidate Joni Broks-Jamison.
Allegany Territory Poormanster Seneca Party candidate Danielle Redeye will run unopposed, as will Cattaraugus Territory poormaster candidate Debra S. Jimerson from the Seneca Party.
