Dean and Anne French of Jamestown, N.Y., celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on Aug. 21, 2010, at the War Vets Recreation Center in Jamestown, N.Y. The celebration was hosted by their children: Carrie French Dobos, Harrington, Del.; Tina French, Russell, Pa.; Brenda French, Dover, Del.; and Dena French Danielson of Brocton, N.Y. They have seven grandchildren, five great-grandchildren and are expecting two new great-grandbabies.
French and the former Anne Marie Haas were married Nov. 5, 1960 in Little Valley, N.Y.
French is retired from MRC. He is a member of War Vets and Ellery Snocruisers. Mrs. French is a member of the Fluvanna Fire Department Auxiliary, the Westfield Quilt Guild and the Chautauqua Region Quilt Guild. They are both life members of the Fluvanna Fire Department.
