BUFFALO - Randall Delbert Knight, 56, of Akron has pleaded guilty in U.S. District Court in the murder-for-hire case in which Andie Gasper of Yorkshire was killed in 1994.
Knight has pleaded guilty to traveling in interstate commerce and using facilities in interstate commerce in connection with a murder-for-hire, the first ever in WNY.
Assistant U.S. Attorney Anthony Bruce, who handled the case, said Knight admitted to driving from Akron to Cattaraugus County on July 3, 1994. He then lured Andie Gasper to the back lot of an Ames Department store in Yorkshire where he stabbed him to death. Knight also admitted that the murder grew out of a long-term extramarital affair he was having with the Gasper's wife, Cheryl Gasper.
She was charged in connection with the murder back in May of this year.
