JAMESTOWN POLICE DEPARTMENT
Tyrone Robinson, 49, of Jamestown was charged with petit larceny and third-degree assault Saturday. Police say around 9:25 p.m., they were called to Mechanics Alley between West Fifth and West Sixth streets, behind Ss. Peter and Paul Church. A police investigation revealed that a local resident had returned home and found Robinson allegedly stealing property from his van. The owner of the van and two of his friends confronted Robinson, which led to an altercation. Police say Robinson punched the owner of the van and gave him a black eye. The owner of the van and his friends held Robinson to the ground until the police arrived. Police say Robinson is on parole and an investigation continues into the incident.
John Sample, 39, of Jamestown was charged with second-degree criminal contempt Saturday. Police say officers observed Sample walking with a female on North Main Street. There is a city court order of protection for Sample to stay away from the female. Sample was taken into custody and transported to city jail without incident.
A 16-year-old female and a 17-year-old female were charged with petit larceny Saturday. Police say they placed merchandise in a purse and tried to leave Wal-Mart without paying for the items.
Rochelle L. Dunkleman, 21, of Little Valley was charged with petit larceny Saturday. Police say they were called to Wal-Mart for a shoplifting incident. Police say upon investigation it was found that Ms. Dunkleman attempted to steal $79 in merchandise in her purse.
Amanda X. Wickstrom, 21, of Frewsburg was charged with petit larceny and endangering the welfare of a child and a 16-year-old female was charged with petit larceny Friday. Police say the two were caught stealing merchandise from Wal-Mart. Ms. Wickstrom was charged with endangering the welfare of a child too because she had a 2-year-old with her while committing the crime.
CHAUTAUQUA COUNTY SHERIFF'S DEPARTMENT
BROCTON - Dean J. Cochran, 29, of Portland was charged with second-degree criminal contempt Saturday. Police say Cochran was stopped for a traffic violation and was found with a passenger that had a valid order of protection against him.
SINCLAIRVILLE - William L. Hendrickson Jr., 41, of Sinclairville was charged with driving while intoxicated with a minor in the vehicle and speeding Saturday. Police say Hendrickson was driving the vehicle with a 9-year-old youth inside when he was stopped for speeding and found to be intoxicated.
HARMONY - Paul M. Burger, 21, of Falconer was charged with second-degree criminal contempt March 24. It is alleged that Burger made three phone calls to a person that has an order of protection against him.
CATTARAUGUS COUNTY SHERIFF'S DEPARTMENT
OLEAN - Dale H. Lafferty, 44, of Olean was charged on a Family Court warrant Thursday. Police say he was arraigned in Allegany Town Court and held on $5,000 bail.
PENNSYLVANIA STATE POLICE
Eugene B. Carlson, 45, of Chandlers Valley, Pa., was charged with harassment after an altercation where he allegedly choked and pulled a female victim's hair March 24.
A 13-year-old female was charged with underage possession of alcohol after Sheffield Middle-Senior High School officials found that she was in possession of a bottle of whiskey in her locker.
