William B. Newark, 81, of 166 Lakeside Blvd., WE, died at 6:45 a.m. Thursday (Feb. 25, 2010), at Bertrand Chaffee Hospital in Springville, N.Y.
A lifelong area resident, he was born April 30, 1928, in Bradford, Pa., a son of the late Stanley and Delores Newark, and served in the U.S. Navy during World War II.
Following his retirement after 40 years as a mechanic, he together with his wife has provided family home care for 18 years through the WNY Developmental Disabilities Services Office.

Bill enjoyed fishing, woodworking and antiques.
Surviving are his wife, Virginia "Ginny" Lamoreaux Newark, whom he married June 15, 1991; five children: Deborah Col-burn of Jamestown, William (Delores) Newark Jr. of Florida, Bonnie (John) Clark of Pennsylvania, Tim (April Goodrich) Newark of Sinclairville, and Ed (Kathy) Sherman of James-town; 13 grandchildren, many great-grandchildren; one great-great-granddaughter; a sister, Betty (Leroy) McCray of Jamestown; and his father-in-law, Alfred Lamoreaux of Pittsburgh.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Delores Newark; his second wife, Jean K. Newark; and his third wife, Dorothy Newark; a daughter, Delores "Dody" Miller; and son, David Newark.
A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Feb 27, 2010, in the Lind Funeral Home. Pastor James Rucks will officiate.
Friends will be received for one hour prior to the service in the funeral home Saturday.
