EAST RANDOLPH -Donna Lee Textor Abbey, 61, of Main Street, East Randolph, passed away Thursday, Feb. 18, 2010, in her home, surrounded by her loving husband and family while under the care of Hospice.
Donna was born Aug. 30, 1948, in Cheektowaga, N.Y., the daughter of the late Ellsworth Textor and Christine E. Denz Buskist.
She was a 1966 graduate of Randolph Central School, and retired due to her health from New Directions Youth and Family Services in Randolph, where she was the assistant farm manager. In earlier years, she had been employed by Ethan Allen in Falconer, and was a self employed dairy farmer. She attended the Seventh-day Adventist Church in Randolph. Donna, Loved her family dearly, as well as her many dogs, cats, cows and horses.
She is survived by her husband, Randy W. Abbey, whom she married on April 5, 1997; two sisters: Dorothy Hokanson of Jamestown, and Carol Pence of East Randolph; five brothers: William Textor of Pine City, Minn., Ellsworth Textor Jr. of Sherman, Garry Textor of Randolph, and Daniel and Raymond Textor, both of Ellington.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother; Henry Textor.
At Donna's request, visitation will not be observed. A celebration of her life will be announced in the early summer.
