CATTARAUGUS COUNTY SHERIFF'S
OLEAN - A 16-year-old male was charged with third-degree assault after allegedly punching another student in the face at 12:42 p.m. Friday in the Olean BOCES. The youth was arraigned in Portville Town Court and taken to the Cattaraugus County Jail on $250 bail. He will be in Olean Town Court on Feb. 11.
DAYTON - Patrick M. Hartloff, 32, of 12846 Rice Road, South Dayton, was charged with felony driving while intoxicated, aggravated DWI and failure to keep right after he was pulled over on Cottage Road in Dayton at 4:55 p.m. Friday. According to a police report, Hartloff allegedly was driving with a .24 percent blood alcohol content. He was taken to the Cattaraugus County Jail and will be in Dayton Town Court later.
Daniel J. Thompson, 23, of Gerry was charged with third-degree assault and second-degree harassment after a fight at 1:48 a.m. Saturday at Sneakers Bar, 100 Harrison St. According to a police report, Thompson allegedly injured a man and then allegedly hit a woman when she tried to help the man. Thompson was allegedly identified by bar patrons and then charged. The man was treated at WCA Hospital for his injuries while the woman was not injured. Thompson was taken to the Jamestown City Jail pending arraignment.
Randall K. Hornburg, 20, of Jamestown was charged with second-degree criminal contempt at 12:56 a.m. Saturday at 1091 E. Second St. According to a police report, officers responded to the address to investigate a possible violation of an order of protection and found Hornburg in the presence of a woman who had a valid order of protection against him. Hornburg was taken to the city jail awaiting arraignment.
CHAUTAUQUA COUNTY SHERIFF'S
RIPLEY - Tucker A. Best, 19, of Ripley was taken to the Chautauqua County Jail at 9 p.m. Friday after a probation warrant was issued for him stemming from a third-degree burglary charge. According to a police report, he is being held without bail.
HARMONY - Henry Reyes, 30, of North Harmony was taken to the Chautauqua County Jail after a warrant was issued for him stemming from charges of third-degree possession of a controlled substance and third-degree criminal sale of a controlled substance after an investigation by the Southern Tier Regional Drug Task Force. A bail hearing will be scheduled.
Michelle M. Ashley, 25, of College Station, Texas, was charged with shoplifting at 2:20 p.m. Saturday at the Sears store in the Chautauqua Mall. According to a police report, she allegedly attempted to leave the store without paying for $70.89 worth of merchandise. She was arraigned in Busti Town Court and posted bail. She will be in court later.
Barry W. Alpaugh, 53, of Warren was charged with petit larceny after officers responded to a reporter shoplifter at Wal-Mart at 4:30 p.m. Saturday. According to a police report, Alpaugh allegedly tried to leave without paying for items totaling $69.19. He will be in Busti Town Court later.
