Donald and Karin Hook of Lakewood, N.Y., celebrated their 40th anniversary on Oct. 17, 2009, at the home of their daughter and son-in-law, and with a trip to Las Vegas. The celebration was hosted by their children: Stephen Hook of Lakewood, N.Y., and Kirsten and Mike Bishop of Ashville, N.Y. They also have three grandchildren.
Hook and the former Karin Elizabeth Anderson were married Oct. 17, 1969, in Zion Covenant Church, Jamestown, N.Y. The Rev. Eldon Johnson performed the ceremony.
Hook had been employed by Cummins Engine Co. Mrs. Hook is employed by the Chautauqua County Visitor's Bureau.
