LAKEWOOD-BUSTI POLICE

BUSTI - Robert C. Burch, of Big Tree Road was charged with third-degree assault and second-degree harassment on Jan. 8 after a domestic dispute where he allegedly bit a woman in the stomach. He was processed and released with an appearance ticket returnable in Busti Town Court.

LAKEWOOD - Rebecca L. Dorman, 35, of Lakewood was charged with petit larceny Thursday after she was allegedly caught shoplifting $75.49 worth of merchandise from Wal-Mart. She was processed and released with an appearance ticket.

LAKEWOOD - An 18-year-old male was charged with two counts of first-degree unlawfully dealing with a child on Jan. 10, after police were called to a Pennsylvania Avenue home for a possible fight. Following an investigation, police alleged that the male provided alcohol to females, 15 and 16 years old.

CHAUTAUQUA COUNTY SHERIFF

FALCONER - Ricky Joe Finch, 41, of Jamestown was charged with felony driving while ability impaired by drugs and seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance Thursday after he was pulled over around 10:42 p.m. on East Main Street for driving with one working headlight. Deputies allege that he was under the influence of drugs and had four morphine pills in his pocket. He was processed and released with an appearance ticket and will be in Ellicott Town Court later.

MAYVILLE - Evelyn L. Woodard, 25, of Westfield was charged with second-degree promoting prison contraband and seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance Friday after she was allegedly found with nine oxycontin pills while being booked into the Chautauqua County Jail around 1:30 a.m. The pills were confiscated and she was housed at the county jail on unrelated charges. She will answer the current charge in Chautauqua Town Court later.

STOCKTON - Michael G. Saxton, 37, of Jamestown was charged with third-degree aggravated unlicensed operation, violating a restricted license and cited for having inadequate headlights Thursday after a traffic stop on North Main Street in Cassadaga around 9:12 p.m. He was processed and released with an appearance ticket returnable in Stockton Town Court later.

SALAMANCA POLICE

SALAMANCA - Richard L. Pruitt, 22, of Fredricksburg, Va., was charged with obstruction of governmental administration and cited for driving without a license, making an improper right turn and for drinking alcohol in a motor vehicle Friday around 3:44 a.m. Pruitt was taken into custody and held awaiting arraignment.

NEW YORK STATE POLICE

CATTARAUGUS - Brandon S. Laskey, 26, of Gowanda was charged with first-offense DWI and driving while ability impaired by drugs Thursday, after a traffic stop at 2 p.m. on Route 438. Further information about the traffic stop was not released by the state police.

PENNSYLVANIA LAW ENFORCEMENT

BROKENSTRAW - Warren-based state police reported Michael E. Perry, 46, Scio, N.Y. was driving a 2000 Ford F-150 west on Route 6 approximately one-quarter of a mile west of Route 62 with two passengers at 7:45 a.m. Tuesday. According to police, Perry was traveling too fast for the conditions and lost control of the truck on the icy road. The F-150 slid approximately 75 feet and struck a concrete barrier before stopping in the left-hand lane. No injuries were reported an no charges were filed.

FARMINGTON - Warren-based state police were called to the scene of an accident involving two vehicles on Miller Hill Road at 11 a.m. Wednesday. According to police, Julie Destro, 27, Sugar Grove, was northbound on Miller Hill Road and a southbound vehicle, described as a truck with a large tank on the bank, possibly gray or silver in color, was too far in the opposite lane. Police said Destro was unable to avoid the truck and the two vehicles sideswiped. Police said the truck continued southbound without stopping; Destro stopped at the scene. Destro and her passenger, a nine-months-old child were not injured, according to police. Anyone with information is asked to call the Pennsylvania State Police at 814-728-3600 or Warren County Crime Stoppers at 800-83-CRIME.

PITTSFIELD - Warren-based state police responded to an accident on Route 27 near Hemlock Lane at 11:37 a.m. Thursday. According to police, Andrew Heenan, 35, Tidioute, was eastbound on Route 27 in a 1997 Mack tri-axle dump truck and failed to stop for a vehicle that was stopped to turn onto Hemlock Lane. Police said Heenan drove off the south side of the road to avoid hitting the other vehicle and struck a wooden fence and utility pole. Garland volunteer firefighters assisted at the scene.
