"We would like to thank the numerous volunteers who helped before and during the parade. We really could not have such successful events without the help of such wonderful, community-minded volunteers," said Tiffani Conti, DJDC special projects manager. "The annual parade is such a special way to end a great year and we try to make it very memorable for everyone who attends. Thank you to all of the participants, volunteers, spectators and sponsors who make the parade possible."
DJDC officials thanked the Ralph C. Sheldon Foundation, the Krog Corp. and Buffamante, Whipple and Buttafaro for supplying trees on Potters Terrace and Renaissance Square. The Jamestown Parks and Recreation Department also placed lights on the tree at the intersection of West Third and Monroe streets.
"After deciding on this year's theme, we wanted to place trees along Third Street for the parade route to correlate with the theme," Mrs. Conti said. "We asked both organizations to assist and they provided the funding to place the trees in both locations."
