Southwestern High School Names Students Of Month

Southwestern High School officials recently announced their students of the month for September/October.

They are:

Rebecca Josephson, grade nine, the daughter of Karin and David Josephson of Jamestown. Her favorite school subjects are English and history. She has received several honors including the Triple C Award in eighth grade, Director's Award for band, Honor Roll, Junior Honor Society and All County Saxophone in sixth, seventh and eighth grades. Her hobbies include reading and skiing. Rebecca would like to attend college after high school, but is undecided on a major or the college.

Troy Rinaldo, grade 10, the son of Linda and Steve Rinaldo of Jamestown. His favorite school subject is business. He has received several honors including Honor and Merit Rolls, skiing, track and field awards. Troy is involved in the school choir, ski club and is a member of Student Council. He is also involved in the community. His hobbies include relaxing, working, going out with friends and watching movies. After high school, Troy would like to go to college and major in business, but is undecided on which school. He would also like to have a minor in some type of medical field.

Bradley Jarrett, grade 11, the son of Sue and George Jarrett of Lakewood. His favorite school subject is math. He has received several honors including football and basketball awards. He is on the school football and basketball teams and is also involved around the community. His hobbies include playing sports. After high school, Bradley would like to attend college and become a teacher.

Kristie Beckstrom, grade 12, the daughter of Cindy Reindeau of Lakewood and Mack Beckstrom of California. Her favorite school subjects are English, band, history and math. She has received several honors including being in the All County Band. Kristie is a member of the varsity football and basketball cheerleaders, a competition cheerleader, Hip-Hop Co-ed Luminous DeMarco Cheerleader and the high school band. Her hobbies include participation in the Envirothon Team. After high school, Kristie would like to attend Jamestown Community College and the State College at Fredonia and become a teacher.
