Sara D. Benson, 57, of 159 Dunham Ave., James-town, passed away at 12:57 a.m. Sunday (Nov. 22, 2009) in her home.

She was born Sep. 26, 1952, in Jamestown, the daughter of Robert Durlin and Ruby Slagle Woods.

Sara was a graduate of Southwestern High School and Jamestown Business College. In earlier years, she had been employed by Jamestown General Hospi-tal and by Dr. Barone and Dr. Jacobson offices. Prior to retirement due to ill health she was employed by Rite Aid.

Sara was a member of the Jamestown Audubon So-ciety and the AMVETS Auxiliary. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, nature and wildlife, flowers and was an animal lover.

Surviving are her hus-band, David G. Seaman, whom she married July 17, 2004, in Jamestown; a daughter, Brandey (Chris) Oakes of Jamestown; two sons, Charlie (Melissa) Klenke and Mark Burch, all of Jamestown; three step--children, Jason (Shannon) Carnahan of Jamestown, Travis Seaman of Erie, Pa., and Jennifer Seaman of Chittenango, N.Y.; six grandchildren, Nicholas Klenke, Brandon Klenke, Peyton Oakes, Marissa Oakes, Michelle Burch and Mark Burch Jr.; her mother; and two brothers, Mark Isaacs and James Durlin.

She was preceded in death by her father; and two brothers, Joseph and Richard Anderson.

The funeral will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday in the Fal-coner Funeral Home. The Rev. Mark Parsons will of-ficiate. Entombment will be in Sunset Hill Cemetery.

Friends will be received by the family from 7 to 9 p.m. today in the funeral home.

Memorials may be made to Chautauqua County Humane Society, Hospice of Chautauqua County or Jamestown Audubon So-ciety.
