Frances Rice Little Pagano, 99, of Ripley, New York, died Friday, Nov. 20, 2009, at Parkside Assisted Living, North East, Pa.
She was born April 4, 1910, in Ripley, New York, the daughter of the late Herbert Rice and Emma Shultze Rice Kidder.
Frances was employed as a schoolteacher and taught in various schools, ending up at the Ripley and West-field school systems. She was a member of the Ripley United Methodist Church. Frances enjoyed traveling and count cross-stitching. She enjoyed monthly meetings with the School Belles of Ripley.
Survivors include a daughter, Janet Ashby of Tokyo, Japan, and a son, Charles Little of Ripley.
She is preceded in death by her first husband, Edwin D. Little, her second husband, Anthony Pagano, a sister, Dorothy Armstrong, and a brother, Donald Rice.
Arrangements are by the Mathews Funeral Home, 104 W. Main St., Ripley. Funeral services will be announced later.
Donations can be made to the Ripley United Methodist Church or the Ripley Fire Department in her memory.
