MILLCREEK, Wash. - Janet E. Walker, 79, formerly of Sinclairville, died Nov. 14, 2009.

She was born Feb. 30, 1930, in Stockton, the daughter of the late Lester and Glenna Pattyson Walters.

A Chautauqua County resident until 1990, she was a 1947 graduate of Cassadaga Valley Central School. She had been employed as a legal secretary for attorney Robert Seydel and was later employed by New York State Department of Transportation.

Janet enjoyed sewing and cooking.

Wife of the late James Walker; mother of Jerry (Peggy) Walker of Sinclairville, Jim (Val) Walker of Nashville, Ind., Jack (Bernedette) Walker of Shoreline, Wash., and Joe (Ann) Walker of Lynnwood, Wash.; grandmother of nine; great-grandmother of five; sister of Virginia Wilcox and Natalie Allshouse, both of Jamestown, Marge (Joe) Faber of Florida, Barb Marr of Colorado, Kathleen (Joe) Mikula of Cassadaga, and the late Marvel Harper and Quimby Walters.

A memorial service will be announced in the spring of 2010.
