BOCES Grad Receives Scholarship
Holden Hubbard of South Dayton was recently awarded a partial scholarship based on three essays and an involved portfolio by the Cosmix School of Makeup Artistry in Fort Lauderdale, Fla.
Hubbard is a recent high school graduate and a 2009 graduate of BOCES cosmetology. He began the program at Cosmix in September and is enrolled in the Production Makeup Artistry Program. While in the program, he is working with six or more top makeup artists as he is studies airbrushing, high fashion photographic makeup for print, video, runway, film and television and character makeup for film and television.
Cosmix courses are consistent with the criteria required for membership in the major Makeup Artists and Hairstylists Union Locals. Hubbard is the son of Julie and Ron Gruber of South Dayton and Kirk and Tammy Hubbard of Salamanca.
