JAMESTOWN POLICE DEPARTMENT
Ashley Waite, 21, of Little Valley was charged with driving while intoxicated and failing to signal at a turn Sunday. Police say Ms. Waite was arrested on Prather Avenue following a traffic stop after she was observed driving over the curb while making a right turn from Foote Avenue onto Allen Street. She was observed making two turns without using a turn signal before being stopped by police.
CHAUTAUQUA COUNTY SHERIFF'S
SINCLAIRVILLE - Jeffrey B. Benson, 24, of Sinclairville was charged with third-degree aggravated unlicensed operation and inadequate muffler Sunday. Police say Sheriff's patrol stopped a vehicle on Jamestown Street in Sinclairville. After an investigation, it was found the operator, Benson, had a suspended license.
FREWSBURG - Brian J. Collins, 34, of Frewsburg was charged with driving while intoxicated and speeding Sunday. Police say they stopped a vehicle for speeding on Frew Run Street in Carroll. Upon further investigation, deputies arrested the driver, Collins, for driving while intoxicated.
SHERIDAN - Timothy A. Kelley, 30, of Fredonia was charged with a parole violation Saturday. Police say they received information that Kelley was wanted and that he could be found at a residence on Stone Quarry Road. Deputies and Fredonia police observed Kelley leaving the residence in the back seat of a car. The vehicle was stopped on South Roberts Road and Kelley was taken into custody.
LAKEWOOD-BUSTI POLICE
Eric T. Eckberg, 36, of Jamestown was charged with driving while intoxicated after an accident Thursday. Police say officers were dispatched to a motor vehicle accident on Donelson Road around 9:45 p.m. After an investigation, it was determined a deer jumped in front of Eckberg, causing him to lose control of the vehicle, which came to rest in a ditch. Officers had Eckberg perform a filed sobriety tests and he was then arrested for driving while intoxicated.
PENNSYLVANIA STATE POLICE
Daniel Eric Ristau, 23, of Clarendon, Pa., was charged with driving while intoxicated after an accident on Route 6 in Mead Township on Sunday. Police say Ristau failed to maintain control of his vehicle, which went off the highway, striking a ditch that sent the vehicle into the air for approximately 50-feet, flipping the vehicle onto its roof upon impact with the ground. The vehicle then skidded on its roof for approximately 60-feet before coming to rest. Police arrived at the scene almost immediately after the accident and removed Ristau from the vehicle. Ristau was determined to be under the influence of alcohol and was charged.
James Dean Groves, 28, of Sugar Grove, Pa., was charged with driving while intoxicated, criminal mischief, reckless endangerment and several summary traffic citations Friday. Police say Groves drove his vehicle into a parking area and pushed another vehicle 30 yards, almost hitting the owner of the car. Groves allegedly then left the scene after causing damage to the victim's vehicle. Groves was located a short time later at his residence, where an investigation determined he was intoxicated.
CATTARAUGUS COUNTY SHERIFF'S
Stanley T. McCarty Jr., 19, of West Valley was charged with third-degree burglary and petit larceny after an incident on Nov. 3 where he stole gas from a garage on Dutch Hill Road after his vehicle ran out of fuel.
