The precautionary lockdown of Jamestown High School was lifted at 12:34 p.m. after Jamestown police officers and state troopers cleared the area around the building.

Just before noon, a 911 call reported a home invasion at a Franklin Street home and three suspects are still being sought in connection with the incident.

Principal Joe Yelich said the school resource officer made him aware of the incident and JHS went into precautionary lockdown mode as a result.

No one was injured during the home invasion, police said, and it likely wasn't a case of random violence.

The Jamestown Police Department is continuing to investigate the incident and anyone with information is asked to call 483-TIPS.

I think alot of people are putting the blame on the JPD for something some of jamestown finest citizens did, I lived in Jamestown most of my life. It isn't the cops that are causing Jamestown to be a criime ridden infestation it's the PEOPLE, people see and know about crimes but don't say anything till after something happens. Then they say ( OH MY I saw weird stuff going on last week) well why didn't they say stuff sooner? I still Love jamestown and I have seen the decline, it's not the COPS it everyone. I got out and my life is better. think about how many cops there are, and look at how many people there are!!! The cops don't just sit at coffee shops either, who do you think cleans up all the bodies and drunk driver on the roads? Or who may have just put his life on the line to keep you safe from something you didn't even know about? But they did because they work and you don't know it,,,, When people see something say something don't waite for the next guy to say something!!!!

WOW! THAT WAS SO SCARRY TO GET A TEXT FROM YOUR CHILD SAYIN THEY WERE IN LOCK DOWN BECAUSE OF A SHOOTING. WHAT HAS JAMESTOWN BECOME A DRUG DEALING CHILD MOLESTING MURDERING FREE TOWN . THOSE PEOPLE GO FREE AND THE NEXT PERSON WHO ACCIDENTLY WRITES A BAD CHECKS GOES TO JAIL. MAN WE NEED NEW LAW INFORCEMENT TO KEEP THOSE CRIMINALS OFF THE STREET AND GET OUR CITY SAFE LIKE IT WAS IN THE 70S.

It's because the local LE Departments are more interested in busting and harassing citizens for petty things that should otherwise be overlooked. This area has become a disgrace and I'm almost to the point of not even recognizing it has my home town. Come to my house and do a home invasion and you'll leave in a body bag guaranteed!
