JAMESTOWN POLICE DEPARTMENT
Valentina Mayo, 60, of Jamestown was charged with petit larceny Wednesday after she was allegedly caught stealing from he Family Dollar store in Brooklyn Square. Around 4:05 p.m., police were called to the store after Mayo was allegedly seen taking items from inside the store without paying then making her way outside, where she allegedly tried to take several more items off of an exterior rack. She was detained by employees and taken into custody by police. She was processed at the city jail and released with an appearance ticket.
Cleophis Harris, 47, of Jamestown was charged with resisting arrest and taken into custody on an outstanding New York state parole warrant Wednesday. Police reported that around 5 p.m., they saw Harris walking on West Sixth Street near Washington Street and when they approached, he allegedly ran. He was captured after a short foot pursuit and taken to the city jail. He was held awaiting arraignment in Jamestown City Court.
ELLICOTT POLICE DEPARTMENT
WEST ELLICOTT - Debrah M. Miller, 27, of Lakewood was charged with petit larceny Wednesday after she was allegedly caught shoplifting at Wegmans. She was released with an appearance ticket and will be in Ellicott Town Court later.
FALCONER - A 14-year-old and a 15-year-old were charged with third-degree assault on Oct. 21, after police were called to WCA Hospital to speak with a victim who had allegedly been assaulted in Falconer. The youths were petitioned to family court and the victim was treated and released.
WESTFIELD POLICE DEPARTMENT
WESTFIELD - A 16-year-old Westfield youth was charged with fourth-degree criminal mischief and two counts of second-degree harassment Monday after police were called to Clinton Street around 5:40 p.m. for a reported fight. When officers were interviewing the involved parties at the scene, the youth allegedly got into a verbal altercation with a 13-year-old and pushed an 8-year-old before allegedly striking the 13-year-old in the head, breaking his glasses. The 16-year-old was released with an appearance ticket and will be in court later.
NEW YORK STATE POLICE
VILLENOVA - John J. Persons, 44, of Orchard Park was charged with felony DWI on Sunday after a traffic stop on Route 322 around 6 p.m. He was processed and released to a third party with an appearance ticket.
PENNSYLVANIA LAW ENFORCEMENT
CONEWANGO TOWNSHIP - Conewango Township police are investigating a criminal mischief incident in which the residence of Marilyn Rodgers, 971 Yankee Bush Road, was shot with a BB gun on Oct. 26. Police said six holes were found in the siding of the residence and BBs were located inside the insulation underneath the siding. Anyone with information is asked to call the police department at 814-726-0725.
COLUMBUS TOWNSHIP - Corry-based state police reported someone obtained the debit card information of a 52-year-old Route 6 resident and made several purchases between April 1 and Oct. 19. Police said the total amount stolen is approximately $3,200 and the investigation is ongoing.
