LITTLE VALLEY - Edward M. Sharkey, Cattaraugus County district attorney, reported the following activity in Cattaraugus County Court on Monday, Oct. 19:

Terrance A. Terrell, 20, of Buffalo, was sentenced as a predicate felon to two to four years in the state Department of Corrections for his conviction of third-degree attempted burglary, a Class E felony. On Nov. 22, 2008, in Mansfield, he attempted to enter a building with the intent to commit a crime.

Jeremiah Phinney, 19, of Franklinville, but presently incarcerated in the Cattaraugus County Jail, was sentenced to six months in the Cattaraugus County Jail, five years probation and ordered to pay $1,050 in restitution for his conviction of third-degree attempted burglary, a Class E felony, and fourth-degree grand larceny, a Class E felony. On June 12, 2009, in Franklinville, Phinney and Carl Enderby tried to enter the Rogers Shurfine Foodmart with the intent to commit a crime and stole property worth more than $1,000.

Carl Enderby, 18, of Franklinville, waived prosecution by indictment and pleaded guilty by Superior Court Information to third-degree burglary, a Class D felony, and fourth-degree grand larceny, a Class E felony. On June 12, 2009, in Franklinville, Phinney and Carl Enderby tried to enter the Rogers Shurfine Foodmart with the intent to commit a crime and stole property worth more than $1,000. Sentencing is scheduled for Jan. 4.

Paul R. Meier, 36, of East Otto was sentenced to five years probation, a $2,500 fine and had his driver's license revoked for his conviction of driving while intoxicated, a Class E felony. On May 6, 2007, in Ellicottville, he drove while intoxicated.

Ryan J. Mighells, 26, of Salamanca, pleaded guilty to aggravated driving while intoxicated, a Class E felony, to satisfy a pending indictment. On Jan. 17, 2009, in Salamanca, Mighells drove with a blood-alcohol content of .20 percent. Sentencing is scheduled for Jan. 4.

John D. Williams, 28, of Buffalo but presently in the Cattaraugus County Jail, pleaded guilty to fifth-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, a Class D felony, to satisfy a pending indictment. On Feb. 28, 2008, in Olean, he had more than 500 milligrams of cocaine with the intent to sell it. Sentencing is scheduled for Dec. 21.

Sarah C. Boehmer, 59, of Franklinville, pleaded guilty to first-degree offering a false instrument for filing, a Class E felony, to satisfy a pending indictment. On May 2, 2008, in Cattaraugus County, she presented false documents to the Department of Motor Vehicles to register a vehicle in her own name that belonged to a person who was dead. Sentencing is scheduled for Jan. 11.

Joseph Dowdy, 23, of Salamanca pleaded guilty to third-degree attempted criminal of a controlled substance, a Class C felony, to satisfy a pending indictment. On Jan. 8, 2008, in Salamanca, he attempted to sell crack cocaine. Sentencing is scheduled for Dec. 21.

Jeffrey W. Parsons, 63, of Portville but presently incarcerated in the Cattaraugus County Jail, pleaded guilty to driving while intoxicated, a Class E felony, to satisfy a pending indictment. On April 30, 2007, in Allegany, he drove with a .12 percent blood-alcohol content. Sentencing is scheduled for Dec. 21.

Mark D. Pierce, 30, of Salamanca, pleaded guilty to first-degree unlawfully dealing with a child, a Class A misdemeanor, to satisfy a pending indictment. Between Aug. 23 and Aug. 24, 2008, in Salamanca, he gave an alcoholic beverage to a person under the age of 21. Sentencing is scheduled for Dec. 21.

Jason A. Hogle, 25, of Olean, waived prosecution by indictment and entered a plea by Superior Court Information to fourth-degree grand larceny, a Class E felony. On July 23 and July 30, 2009, in Olean, he stole two shotguns. Sentencing is scheduled for Dec. 21.

Robert E. Shoup, 32, of Olean, waived prosecution by indictment and entered a guilty plea by Superior Court Information to one count of aggravated driving while intoxicated, a Class E felony; and one count of second-degree aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle, a misdemeanor. On May 24, 2009, in Olean, he drove with a blood-alcohol content of .25 percent and without a valid driver's license as a result of a prior alcohol-related conviction. Sentencing is scheduled for Jan. 4.

Thomas E. John, 40, of Allegany, waived prosecution by indictment and entered a plea of guilty by Superior Court Information to driving while intoxicated, a Class E felony; and second-degree aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle, a misdemeanor. On May 29, in Carrollton, he drove while intoxicated and without a valid driver's license as a result of a prior alcohol conviction. Sentencing is scheduled for Jan. 4.

Carl L. Kettle, 27, of Salamanca but presently incarcerated in the Cattaraugus County Jail waived prosecution by indictment and pleaded guilty by Superior Court Information to third-degree assault and resisting arrest, both Class A misdemeanors. On March 7, he injured Joe Frenz of the Salamanca Police Department when he was resisting arrest. Sentencing is scheduled for Dec. 21.

Leanne J. Heintz 26, of Franklinville, pleaded guilty to two counts of driving while intoxicated to satisfy a pending indictment. On Dec. 13, in Machias, she was pulled over after driving with a .16 percent blood-alcohol content. Sentencing is scheduled for Jan. 11.
