Mary Landin, 84, of 4648 Kortwright Road, Jamestown, passed away at her home on Saturday, Oct. 24, 2009.
Mary was born in Jamestown, on Dec. 3, 1924, the daughter of the late Archie and Eva (Woodin) Eggleston. She was the wife of James Landin. She worked at the Sugar Grove Penn Bank for 31 years as assistant manager, a school bus driver for Panama School District and as an office girl at Bear Lake Milk Company. She was active Busti Shamrock 4-H group, where she taught leather working. She was a collector of teacups which she began to collect after her husband's retirement. Mary is survived by three daughters, Judy Wood of Beaver, Pa., Bonnie Froman of Kissimee, Fla., and Mary Sweeney of Ashville; a son, John Landin of Ashville a sister, Joyce Parker of Sugar Grove; and two brothers the Rev. Claude Eggleston of Ripley and Fred Eggleston of Ashville. She is also survived by nine grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a great-grandson, Landin Biehls; a brother, Charles ''Bud;'' and two sisters, Jeraldine and Marguerite.
Friends are invited to call on Tuesday, Oct. 27, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the Sugar Grove branch of McKinney Funeral Homes and Cremation Services, Inc. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, Oct. 28, at the Mission Covenent Church, Youngsville, Pa., at 11 a.m., the Rev. Brian Haight officiating. Burial will be in Mission Covenant Cemetery.
