Lorrie Ray Johnson, 66, of 776 Sutton Road, Pitts-field, Pa., passed away at 3:20 p.m., Thursday, Oct. 22, at UPMC in Pittsburgh.
Lorrie was born in James-town, on Aug. 8, 1943, a son of the late Mary (Hig-ley) and Ray Johnson. He was a member of the Spring Creek Church. He served in the U.S. Army. He was em-ployed in the Mantience Department at Corborun-dum/Monofrax in Falcon-er, N.Y., retiring in 2000 after 35 years of service.
He was a member of the Lakewood Rod and Gun Club, the AmVets in Sugar Grove, and the American Legion in Sugar Grove.
He loved fishing, NAS-CAR, and Sunday dinner with family and friends, and spending time with his Grandkids.
He is survived by his wife Linda (Stroud) John-son, his companion of 28 years whom he married in 2000; a son, Jeffrey (Dawn) Johnson, of Sugar Grove; a daughter, Christie (Bob) Johnson, of South Jordan, Utah; a daughter, Lynette (Mike) Johnson, of Sugar Grove; a son, Shannon (Shonna) Johnson, of Bear Lake, Pa.; a daughter, Missy Silvis, of Pittsfield, Pa.; a brother, Robert L. Johnson, of Youngsville; a brother, Dan Johnson, of Youngsville, Pa.; a sister, Norma Haight (Darryl Jen-kins), of Pittsfield, Pa.; an ex-wife, Twila Johnson, of Sugar Grove; and a brother-in-law, Lloyd "Butch" Irwin Jr., of War-ren, Pa. Also surviving are nine grandchildren, Justin, Ashlee, Courtnie, Cole, Cherie, Clifton, Chance, Athena, and Freya; and his friends Johnston Moon, and Paul Rizzo, as well as many nieces and nephews.
In addition to parents, he was preceded in death by a sister Joyce Irwin and a brother John Johnson.
Friends are invited to call Sunday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at Sugar Grove Branch of McKinney Funeral Homes and Cremation Ser-vices. A funeral service will be held at the Sugar Grove Branch of McKinney Fun-eral Homes and Cremation Services, 117 Main St., Sugar Grove, Pa, at 11 a.m. on Monday, Oct. 26, 2009. Graveside Services will fol-low in Wrightsville Cemetery.
