PERRYSBURG — Engineer Mark Alianello went over specifications for storm-related emergency repairs for North Road at the village board meeting in Perrysburg. The project is estimated to cost more than $263,000 and will include repairs to a culvert that collapsed under the road during the August flood, as well as repairs to sewer lines, water lines, gas lines, asphalt gutters, and pavement. To cover this project and others, the board passed a resolution to take out a Revenue Anticipation Loan in the amount of $300,000 for a term of two years. According to Mayor Anthony Kota, the Village hopes to pay the loan off early when they are reimbursed by FEMA. Bids for the project will be opened on Oct. 28 at 11 a.m. at the Village Hall. A special meeting is scheduled for Oct. 29 at 6:30 p.m. to award the project to the winning bidder. To date, the total cost for flood repairs has reached $31,751.03. The date for the next public meeting regarding the dissolution feasibility study has been changed from Thursday, Oct. 29 to Thursday, Nov. 5 at 6:30 p.m. To ensure enough seating, the meeting will be held at the Perrysburg Fire Department. “We encourage all village residents to come to hear the changes that would take effect if the Village dissolves,” Town Clerk Christine Bartlett said. “Town residents and Versailles residents are also welcome.” As part of the study, surveys were mailed to village residents. These surveys will provide important data for the committee. To encourage residents to return them, a raffle is being held. In order to have their name entered in the drawing; residents must retain their portion of the survey and return the questionnaire in the envelope provided by Oct. 31. One name will be drawn at the public hearing on Dec. 10. The winner must be present to claim the prize of a $100 gift card. In other business: ¯ The Halloween Parade sponsored by the Perrysburg Fire Department will begin at 4 p.m. with cider, donuts and prizes to be given out. Trick-or-treating hours in the Village will be between 5 p.m. and 8 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 31. ¯ After some discussion, the board decided to cancel the large trash pick-up for fall due to the 4 dumpsters of trash collected after the flood. Leaf and brush pick-up will begin on Monday, Oct. 26 and continue until Monday, Nov. 30. Brush must be kept to a maximum of 4 foot lengths. ¯ A resolution was passed to change Bartlett’s hours. Beginning on Nov. 3, the town clerk will be available on Tuesdays and Thursdays between the hours of 6 p.m. and 9 p.m. and on Saturdays from 9 a.m. until noon. The board will meet again on Thursday, Nov. 19 at 7 p.m.
