Lester A. Marbach

Lester A. Marbach, 79, of 1652 French Creek Mina Road, Clymer, died Sunday, Sept. 27, 2009, at Corry Memorial Hopsital.

He was born July 2, 1930, in Meadville, Pa., the son of the late Alouisia G. and Ethel Woods Marbach.

He had served in the United States Army, 8th Division, in the Korean Conflict from 1951 to 1953.

He had owned and operated his own dairy farm and had worked at Peek 'n Peak Resort and Conference Center for 40 years. Lester had also enjoyed wood working, hunting and fishing.

He is survived by his wife, Rosella M. Whitney Marbach of Clymer, whom he married Nov. 14, 1953; two sons, Donald (wife, Donna) Marbach, of Clymer and David Marbach of Cutting, N.Y.; a daughter, Donna Latta of Rochester, N.Y.; and six grandchildren, Andy and Rudy Latta both of Rochester, N.Y.; Sarah, Josh, Jennifer, and Katie Marbach, all of Clymer, N.Y.

He was preceded in death by a sister, Mae Brown.

The funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 1, 2009, at the Spitzer Funeral Home, Clymer. Burial will be in French Creek Cemetery.

Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.

Arrangements are being handled by the Spitzer Funeral Home, Clymer.
