Lt. Col. Ralph H. McBride (U.S. Army Ret.) born in the township of Stockton, N.Y., July 15, 1928, passed away Sept,19, 2009, in San Antonio, Texas. He was in military service 23 years, serving in the Medical Service Corp as a helicopter medical evacuation pilot, in Korea, Germany, Vietnam and the U.S. He received numerous medals and commendations during his years of service including the Distinguished Flying Cross with V device for heroism, two Bronze Stars, nine Air Medals and other commendations.
Col. McBride was preceded in death by mother, Isabel McBride; father, Charles C. McBride Sr.; brother, Donald McBride, KIA, World War II; and sister, Vivian McBride Stasio. He is survived by brother, Charles McBride Jr.; sisters: Joan McBride Smith and Dorothy McBride Titus; and numerous nieces and nephews.
