Fred and Jeanne Humble of Stow, N.Y., celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on June 28, 2009, with a weekend celebration of family activities and a family dinner at the home of their son in Mayville, N.Y. The celebration was hosted by their children: Scott Humble of Mayville, Kelly Dill of Bemus Point and Melanie Zaboth of Georgia. They also have seven grandchildren. Out of state guests attended from Georgia.
Humble and the former Jeanne Wells were married on June 20, 1959, in Hurlbut Methodist Church in Chautauqua, N.Y. The Rev. Charles Aldrich performed the ceremony.
Humble owned Chautauqua Provisions Inc. Mrs. Humble is a former employee of Brigiotta's Farmland.
