LAKEWOOD-BUSTI POLICE DEPARTMENT
Adam Richard Wancha, of Lansing, Mich. was charged with reckless driving after he crashed his vehicle on Fairmount Avenue on Sunday evening. Police say around 6 p.m., Wancha was exiting the Walmart parking lot when he accelerated, crossed Fairmount Avenue and entered the parking lot where the Bagel Company once stood. His car continued on to hit a tree and land in the ravine which is near the property. He was taken to WCA Hospital for treatment and cited for reckless driving.
JAMESTOWN POLICE DEPARTMENT
Diana L. Crisafulli, and Robbie C. Carnahan, both of Jamestown were charged with fourth-degree criminal mischief and Carnahan was additionally charged with second-degree reckless endangerment after a domestic dispute Sunday evening. Police say around 7 p.m., officers were dispatched to investigate a 911 hang-up call when they saw the duo three houses from the home where the call came from. Police say Carnahan was seen smashing the driver's side window of a vehicle Crisafulli was backing out of the driveway. They were both charged as it is alleged that they each destroyed property belonging to each other. An investigation determined the original 911 hang-up call was an accident and both Carnahan and Crisafulli were taken into custody and held awaiting arraignment.
A 16-year-old was charged with false personation Sunday after police were dispatched to a North Main Street home for a report of fireworks going off inside the vacant house. Upon arrival at 1052 N. Main St., several juveniles were found inside and the 16-year-old allegedly told police he was 15 in order to prevent a possible arrest. Police discovered his true identity and he was taken into custody and held awaiting arraignment.
CHAUTAUQUA COUNTY SHERIFF'S DEPARTMENT
HANOVER - Scott. D. Morrison, 32, of Hanover was taken into custody Monday on a warrant charging him with first-degree harassment. Deputies said he was taken into custody at his home without incident, arraigned and sent to the Chautauqua County Jail where he was held in lieu of bail.
NEW YORK STATE POLICE
POMFRET - Clifford Dowdy, 31, of Fredonia was charged with felony driving while intoxicated Saturday after a traffic stop on Wilson Road in Pomfret around 12:15 a.m. He was taken into custody and held in lieu of $2,000 bail.
SHERMAN - Daryl Freeman, 39, of Sherman was charged with third-degree criminal trespass around 1:15 p.m. Friday after troopers responded to a burglary in progress call at a Bailey Hill Road home. He was taken into custody, processed and released to a third party with an appearance ticket.
William D. Sloppy, 23, of Jamestown was taken into custody Saturday on outstanding warrants charging him with identity theft, criminal possession of stolen property, forgery and petit larceny, stemming from an incident in Ellery on June 18. He was taken into custody and held awaiting arraignment.
Amelia A. Lugos, 25, of Jamestown was charged with false personation and second-degree obstruction of governmental administration Sunday, following an incident at 184 Jones and Gifford Ave. No further information was available.
POLAND - Jennifer R. Ferraloro, 27, of Jamestown was charged with second-degree reckless endangerment, acting in a manor to injure a child less than 17 years old and second-degree harassment Thursday following a traffic stop on Mudcreek Road in Poland around 7:36 a.m. She was given an appearance ticket and will be in court later.
PENNSYLVANIA STATE POLICE
BROKENSTRAW TOWNSHIP - David N. Curry, 41, of Pennsylvania Avenue, Warren, Pa., was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol after he was pulled over around 12:40 a.m. Sunday on Route 6 near Route 62. He will be in court later.
CONEWANGO TOWNSHIP - Timothy McMillen of Warren, Pa., was charged with burglary, three counts of theft, two counts of criminal mischief and underage drinking and Noa Lee, of Louisiana, was charged with burglary, three counts of theft, two counts of criminal mischief and fugitive from justice, Saturday after a witness allegedly saw the two men smash a window of a building at 40 Scientific Road in Starbrick, Pa. With assistance from Warren City police, the Conewango Township Police located McMillen and Lee in the building, hiding in a boat in the garage area of the building and according to police, damage was done to the boat and to a window on the building. Police said they both confessed to having intended to steal numerous items from the boat, including a pistol. Furthermore, while in custody, it was learned that Lee had a warrant issued from the U.S. Army for desertion from the armed forces.
MEAD TOWNSHIP - Warren-based state police reported that at 9:21 p.m. Saturday, a 2006 Chevrolet Malibu was moderately damaged and a 2004 Dodge Neon received minor damage after both were traveling east on Route 6 and struck a bear that was in the road. No human injuries were reported, but the bear, which was injured, walked away and was not found.
