CHAUTAUQUA COUNTY SHERIFF'S DEPARTMENT

RIPLEY - Emma McBride, 60, of Ripley was charged with failure to keep right after she crashed her vehicle on Route 20 in Ripley on Friday around 10:45 p.m. Deputies say she fell asleep behind the wheel, causing her vehicle to cross into the oncoming lane and off the road, striking several small trees and a guide rail before coming to rest down the road. She was uninjured but taken to Westfield Memorial Hospital as a precaution. She will be in court later.

FORESTVILLE - Brandon M. Threlkeld, 28, of Forestville was charged with fourth-degree criminal mischief and second-degree harassment Tuesday after deputies were dispatched to investigate a past-tense domestic dispute around 4:20 p.m. Deputies say that he broke a door during a verbal dispute with his wife and he was taken into custody without incident. He was arraigned in Hanover Town Court and released to return to court later.

PENNSYLVANIA STATE POLICE

FREEHOLD TOWNSHIP - According to Warren-based state police, at 11:30 a.m. Tuesday, a male between the age of 20 and 40 with a pink mohawk and a tattoo on his head attempted to lure two young children, an 8-year-old and a 5-year-old, into a white vehicle using candy. LIMESTONE TOWNSHIP - Daniel Gene Marstellar, 40, of Sharpsville, Pa., was charged with aggravated assault Saturday after he allegedly cut a 30-year-old man's arm with a knife, causing a serious injury. Marstellar hid in the woods after the incident but was found by troopers. The victim was taken to Warren General Hospital and Marstellar was taken to the Warren County Jail following arraignment.

BROKENSTRAW TOWNSHIP - Warren-based state police are investigating a burglary that occurred between 4 p.m. July 11 and 3 a.m. July 14 at 41 Erie St., Irvine, Pa. Police said the victim, Ruby McGaughey, is reporting several hundred dollars in coins taken. Anyone with information is asked to contact Warren-based state police at 814-728-3600.

COLUMBUS TOWNSHIP - Between Sunday and Monday on Factory Road, someone smashed the mailboxes and posts of Roger L. Hasbrouk and Genie M. Pierson, both of Corry, Pa.. According to police, the cost of the damage is $100. Anyone with information is asked to contact Corry-based state police at 800-922-1975.

GLADE TOWNSHIP - Warren-based state police are investigating a theft that occurred between 12 p.m. July 14 and 3:30 p.m. Monday when someone removed a red 1979 Bultaco 250 CC dirt bike from the residence of Kyle Shoup, 705 Cobham Park Rd., Warren, Pa. Anyone with information is asked to contact Warren-based state police at 814-728-3600.

SALAMANCA POLICE DEPARTMENT

Allen J. Stephens, 62, of Salamanca was charged with driving under the influence of drugs, failure to keep right, moving from lane unsafely and refusal to take a breath test Saturday following a traffic stop around 2:40 a.m. He was taken to the Cattaraugus County Jail, where he was held awaiting further proceedings.

Donald R. Wilson, 19, of Salamanca was charged with third-degree criminal trespassing after he was allegedly found outside a female resident's window at the Zafron House for parenting teens on East State Street. Police say he has been told to stay away in the past and was acting in concert with a 15-year-old who was not charged. Wilson was given an appearance ticket and will be in court later.

Dustin M. Sharp, 24, of Salamanca was charged with endangering the welfare of a child and second-degree harassment Sunday after he allegedly punched another man in the face at a community event while in the presence of a four-year-old child. Sharp will be in court later.

James D. Porter, 19, of Salamanca was charged with third-degree assault Monday around 1:55 p.m. He will be in court later.

Sean M. Vaughn, 29, of Salamanca was charged with DWI, reckless driving, driving on a sidewalk, speed not reasonable, failure to keep right, moving from lane unsafely, drinking alcohol in a vehicle on the highway and refusal to take a breath test Monday after a traffic stop around 11:37 p.m. Police say he was verbally abusive toward officers and refused to take a breath test at the station. He was released on bail but will appear in court later.

Patrick M. Carpenter, 25, of Bradford, Pa., was charged with criminal possession of a hypodermic needle Tuesday after a traffic stop around 3:50 p.m. Police say he was in possession of ten needles and taken into custody. He was arraigned and sent to the county jail pending further proceedings.

Garry B. Blankenship II, 26, of Salamanca was charged with DWI, operating a vehicle while ability impaired by drugs and driving without a license Tuesday around 3:50 p.m. He was taken to the county jail and held awaiting further proceedings.

Joselyn R. Poole, 25, of Little Valley was charged with aggravated DWI and for having inadequate headlights Wednesday, following a traffic stop around 2:54 a.m. She was released with an appearance ticket and will be in court later.
