Poland Seniors Issue Trip Reminder, Slate Meeting
Poland Seniors are reminded that the Aug. 4 bus trip to Cleveland will leave the Kennedy Fire Hall parking lot at 7:30 a.m.
The next meeting will be Aug. 19 in the fire hall. Committee members will be Irene Berg, Cliff and Liz Barnes, and Florence Cline.
Roland and Doris Swanson, Marge Young, Carl Burt and Jack Swanson were the committee for a recent meeting and chicken barbecue, catered by 3 Cs Catering.
Prizes donated by Helen Burch, Lois Scott, Carolyn Widmark, Karen Lincoln, Shirley Lowe, Beth Crandall, Barb Brown, Jeanette Olson, Nelson Sweetsheimer, Florence Cline, Val Nunn and Comfort Today were won by Ms. Boe, Ruth McKinley, Peter DeCarlo, Ms. Barnes, Marge Young, Ms. Olson, Pauline VanGuilder, Helen Burch, Paul Burch, Art Patchen, Leona Smith, Claudine Holmes, Doris Overend, Bob Cross, June Smallback, Marilyn Johnson, Clayton Brown, Allison Scott Cliff Barnes, Ms. Swanson, Jeanne Houston, Judy Kraft, Lou Ball, Ethel Bastian and Carl Schauers.
Eva Baker, president, led table grace, called tables and opened the meeting with a flag salute. Reports by the secretary and treasurer were read and approved.
Celebrating birthdays were Vera Smith, Les Town, Donna Cross and Bob Canniff. Bob and Sally Canniff, Vern and Gloria Terrill observed wedding anniversaries.
Musical entertainment was provided by the Tanglewood Manor Golden Gems.
Discussion was on the August trip to Cleveland.
