The Kiwanis Club of Lakewood held its first "Night at the Races" evening to benefit Centaur Stride, a local therapeutic riding facility that makes many special efforts to include the parents and siblings of children with disabilities.
The evening was held at the Lakewood American Legion on Chautauqua Avenue in Lakewood. The Kiwanis played six pre-recorded horse races. At the end of each race, the Kiwanis had drawings for participants of the winning horses. There were more than 70 prizes given out to winners that attended and Donald Rosage was the winner of the grand prize, a rare bottle of Louis XIII Cognac valued at $1,500 donated by Remy Cointreau USA.
