LAKEWOOD-BUSTI POLICE DEPARTMENT
Terry A. Jones was charged with seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, third-degree aggravated unlicensed operation, driving with a suspended registration and unsafe tires Monday after he was reportedly acting suspiciously in the Wal-Mart parking lot. Officers pulled his vehicle over on Fairmount Avenue and discovered he had an outstanding warrant in Jamestown. He was given an appearance ticket and turned over to the Jamestown Police Department.
CHAUTAUQUA COUNTY SHERIFF'S DEPARTMENT
SHERIDAN - Vanessa M. Smith, 23, of Dunkirk was charged with failure to keep right and driving while ability impaired by drugs Wednesday after deputies responded to a call reporting a vehicle in the ditch off of Route 39. Upon arrival, deputies say Smith was staggering around her vehicle and stated that she swerved to avoid hitting a deer. She was given an appearance ticket and released.
Inez Jimerson, 64, of Collins was charged with second-degree vehicular assault, felony aggravated unlicensed operation, driving while intoxicated, failure to yield the right of way and refusal to submit to a chemical test after a serious motor vehicle accident Wednesday on Routes 5 and 20 in the town of Hanover. Deputies say Jimmerson pulled into the road in front of a car driven by Alice B. Reed, 65, of Dunkirk around 3 p.m., causing extensive damage to both vehicles. Jimmerson and a passenger, Loreen Spruce, 48, of Irving, were both taken to Lakeshore Hospital while Reed was taken to the Erie County Medical Center. Deputies say Jimerson refused to submit to a chemical test so with the help of District Attorney David Foley's office, a court order was issued by Judge John Ward to draw Jimerson's blood for a chemical test. She was treated at the hospital and arraigned in Hanover Town Court where Judge Klyczak committed her to the county jail. Jimerson's passenger was eventually transferred to the Erie County Medical Center where Reed was sent, and both are still in the hospital's care. The investigation is ongoing and additional charges are expected.
NEW YORK STATE POLICE
POMFRET - Michael G. Moore, 25, of Fredonia and Gregory J. Castiglia, 54, of Pomfret were both charged with sixth-degree conspiracy, providing a false written statement and Moore was additionally charged with falsely reporting an incident Tuesday following an incident Monday around 8:30 p.m. They were processed and released on their own recognizance.
POMFRET - Ronald J. Krzal, 52, of Fredonia was charged with first-offense DWI, refusal to take a breath test and moving from lane unsafely Sunday following a traffic stop on Webster Road in Pomfret around 7 p.m. He was processed and released to a third-party, and will be in court later.
POMFRET - John P. Loveland, 49, of Dunkirk was charged with second-degree harassment Tuesday after an incident around 9 p.m. The investigation is ongoing and no further information is available.
PENNSYLVANIA STATE POLICE
PLEASANT TOWNSHIP - Francis J. Grimmer, 48, of Warren, Pa., was charged with indecent assault and harassment on June 22 following an incident where he allegedly forced himself upon a 20-year-old female.
WARREN - Stephen James Coates, 52, of Warren was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol and other traffic violations this past Saturday after a traffic stop.
PLEASANT TOWNSHIP - Police are investigating an incident that took place sometime between last Friday and Sunday where someone dumped household debris, baby items, a bicycle, a TV, a rug cleaner, a vacuum and several other items in the Oakland Cemetary on Mohawk Avenue.
