Dan F. DeMarco, 80, of Ripley, died on Sunday, June 28, 2009, at home.

He was born June 24, 1929, in Little Hope, Greenfield Township, to the late Joseph and Shirley Raeder DeMarco.

He served in the CB Reserves and formerly worked for Wooster's Mo-tor Lines. Dan also owned and operated DeMarco Trucking and DeMarco Grape Farm for several years until he retired. Dan enjoyed watching western movies and trucking.

Survivors include his wife of 58 years, Arlene M. King DeMarco, whom he married May 5, 1951; sons: Dan F. DeMarco Jr. and Stephanie DiRaimo of Westfield, Roger David DeMarco and wife, Cather-ine of North East, and John DeMarco and wife, Lori of Wrightstown,N.J.; daughters: Jackie Ollinger and husband Chuck of North East, Pa., and Cindy Eggleston and husband Gary of Westfield; 20 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.

Friends may call at the William D. Elkin Funeral Home, 65 South Lake St., North East, on Friday, July 3, from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. until the time of fun-eral service at 7 p.m.

Memorials may be made to the First Baptist Church of Ripley, 9869 OE Side Hill Road, Ripley, NY 14775 or the Ripley Hose Company, 11 South State St., Ripley, NY 14775.
