JAMESTOWN POLICE DEPARTMENT
Jonathan S. Axford, 34, of Jamestown was charged with aggravated criminal contempt Wednesday after officers arrived in the parking lot of the former Winsor Ale House where Axford and two others were fighting. Police say that there was an order of protection forbidding Axford from having contact with another person present and that a check of his criminal history revealed other occasions when he violated orders of protection, so the charge was elevated to a felony. He was taken into custody and held awaiting arraignment.
ELLICOTT POLICE DEPARTMENT
Michael E. Wolfe, 30, of Celoron was charged with unauthorized use of a motor vehicle and false personation this past Saturday, after he was pulled over in a car he didn't have permission to use and gave police a false name. He was taken into custody, arraigned and sent to the Chautauqua County Jail where he was held in lieu of $2,000 bail.
CHAUTAUQUA COUNTY SHERIFF'S DEPARTMENT
RIPLEY - Kelly L. Trudnowski, 32, of Erie, Pa., was charged with aggravated unlicensed operation and speeding Tuesday after a traffic stop on Route 5 around 8 p.m. She was allegedly driving with a suspended license and was given an appearance ticket.
HANOVER - Aaron J. Tundo, 20, of Silver Creek was charged with second-degree harassment, resisting arrest and obstruction of governmental administration Monday after deputies were called to a domestic dispute between a mother and son. Deputies say that upon arrival, they learned that Tundo harassed his mother then left the area. He was found in a grape vineyard behind the home, but ran when he saw deputies. He was eventually caught, taken into custody and sent to the county jail awaiting arraignment. He will return to court later.
GERRY - Aaron T. Monroe, 20, of Gerry was charged with fourth-degree criminal mischief Wednesday after deputies were called to a Gerry home for an out-of-control person. When they arrived, deputies learned that Monroe allegedly locked his mother out of their home and began destroying the interior of the building. Deputies entered the home through an open window and found Monroe hiding in the attic. He was taken into custody and held awaiting arraignment.
HANOVER - Martin Lay, 43, of Irving was charged with DWI, third-degree aggravated operation and speeding Sunday, after a traffic stop on routes 5 and 20 around 2:29 a.m. Lay was released with an appearance ticket.
HANOVER - Patrick J. Ruda, 22, and Steven M. Garbus, 19, both of Tonawanda, were charged with unlawful possession of marijuana Saturday after a deputy saw a bag of marijuana in Garbus's lap and a marijuana pipe in Ruda's hand. They were given appearance tickets and will be in court later.
CATTARAUGUS COUNTY SHERIFF'S DEPARTMENT
Chad W. Skoken, 28, of Little Valley was charged with felony driving while intoxicated and moving from lane unsafely on June 24 after a traffic stop on Sawmill Run Road in Salamanca. Deputies say they responded to a call reporting a vehicle in a ditch and the driver, Skoken, allegedly failed field sobriety tests. He was taken into custody and released to a third party with appearance tickets.
SALAMANCA POLICE DEPARTMENT
Bernard D. Snyder, 32, of Olean was charged with second-degree harassment Saturday after two bicyclists filed a complaint alleging that Snyder tried to hit them with his vehicle and yelled obscenities at them on more than one occasion. Snyder was located and taken into custody.
Todd M. Kuhaneck, 20, of Killbuck was charged with fourth-degree criminal mischief Saturday after he was reportedly out of control at a large drinking party. Police say he was told to leave, which he did, only to return a short time later. He allegedly ripped a side-view mirror off of a car when finally leaving and hit a female in the face when confronted about it. He will be in court later.
Ronald F. Dulanski Jr., 37, of Salamanca was charged with second and third-degree menacing Tuesday after he allegedly displayed a knife to a female that lives in his building. He was taken into custody and posted bail, but will appear in court later.
Autumn M. Wheeler, 22, of Salamanca was charged with third-degree criminal sale of a controlled substance and third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance Tuesday, stemming from the arrests made on June 26 by the Southern Tier Regional Drug Task Force. He was taken into custody and held awaiting arraignment.
