JAMESTOWN POLICE DEPARTMENT

Blaine B. Dunn, 25, of Jamestown was charged with two counts of endangering the welfare of a child Sunday. Police say around 3:54 p.m. officers were patrolling Franklin Street when they observed two young children running naked in the streets, unsupervised. It took officers several minutes to locate the children's father, Dunn, who was then charged. Dunn is being held in city jail pending arraignment.

Michael E. Wolfe, 30, of Celoron was charged with criminal possession of stolen property, resisting arrest and an array of vehicle and traffic violations Sunday. Police say officers on patrol observed an earlier reported stolen vehicle operating in the Swede Hill area. The officers attempted to stop the vehicle, but the subject led police on a brief chase through the area until jumping from the moving vehicle and fleeing on foot. The vehicle continued traveling recklessly without an operator until striking a parked vehicle. The operator, Wolfe, was eventually taken into custody blocks away after being tased. Wolfe is being held in city jail.

An 18-year-old male and a 16-year-old male were charged with second-degree obstructing government administration Sunday. Police say they were dispatched to East Fifth Street for a large fight, when they arrived two males took off running from the scene. Officers advised both to stop and after about two blocks they surrendered to the officers. Both were transported to city jail and are being held in lieu of bail pending.

Jason J. Benton of Jamestown was charged with third-degree assault, second-degree unlawful imprisonment, second-degree harassment and fourth-degree criminal mischief Friday. Police say they responded to William Street for an in progress domestic incident when they heard screaming from a residence. During the investigation, it was determined that Benton assaulted a female and destroyed property. Benton also didn't let the female leave the bedroom during the incident. Benton was transported to city jail without incident and is being held pending arraignment.

Ricky L Houghwot Jr., 29, of Jamestown was charged with third-degree menacing, fourth-degree criminal mischief and unlawful possession of marijuana Sunday. Houghwot was a passenger in a vehicle that stopped by officers and he had two outstanding warrants in the city of Jamestown. He was taken into custody without incident and transported to city jail.

CHAUTAUQUA COUNTY SHERIFF'S

DEPARTMENT

BEMUS POINT - Sandra J. Murphy, 51, of Goldsboro, N.C., was charged with driving while intoxicated and failing to dim headlights Saturday. Police say Ms. Murphy was stopped on Main Street in Bemus Point for failing to dim her high-beam headlights. After an investigation, Ms. Murphy was allegedly found to be intoxicated. Ms. Murphy will be in Ellery Court at a later date.

SUNSET BAY - Gary L. Zabel II, 27, of Wheatfield, N.Y., was charged with unlawful possession of marijuana Sunday. Police say they interviewed Zabel on Iola Drive and he was found to be in possession of a small amount of marijuana. Zabel was issued an appearance ticket and is to be in the Hanover Court at a later date.
