Jack Richard Wells, 47, of York, SC, formerly of Sherman, NY, Lakewood, NY and Blockville, NY, died Dec. 22, 2008, in the Harris Hospice Unit at Pres-byterian Hospital, Char-lotte, NC.

A native of Blockville, NY, Jack was born March 4, 1961 to Richard R. Wells and the late Hazel Holmes. He graduated from Panama Central School in 1979 and later attended Jamestown Community College. Jack enjoyed a 25-year career as a machinist in toll and die. He was last employed by Advantage Machine Com-pany Inc., Clover, S.C.

While a resident of NY, Jack was a volunteer fire-man and belonged to many clubs; including The Busti Men's Association, A.B.A.T.E of WNY and a H.O.G. member. Jack was an avid Harley enthusiast who loved and lived to ride and continued to be active in many clubs after moving to the Carolinas. Jack will be missed by family and many friends and will al-ways be remembered as a fun, likeable and friendly guy who had an infectious quick-wit sense of humor and lived a carefree and non-chalant lifestyle.

Jack is survived by his two beloved teenage daughters: Alyssa Briann Wells and Taige Aubree Wells, of Fort Mill, SC; step-daughter, Shaylyn Stevens of Little River, SC; step-son, Brandon Stevens of Denton, Texas; his fa-ther, Richard and step-mother, Cindy of Blockville, NY; 6 sisters: Pat (Harry) Walters of Tidioute, PA, Sue (Ray) Cansdale of Lakewood, NY, Janet (David) Wolcott of Dunkirk, NY, Gloria (Greg) McCoy of Charlotte, NC, Josie (Brad) Ludwick of Metamora, MI, Joanne Kendall of Jamestown, NY and several nieces and nephews.

Jack was preceded in death by his mother, Hazel, in June 2006 and brother, Steven Wells in October 2006.
