Charles Allen ‘‘Chick’’ Ferguson
A memorial service for Charles Allen "Chick" Fer-guson, 79, of Pompano Beach, Fla. and Chautau-qua, N.Y., who died April 2, 2009, will be held at 1:30 p.m. Sunday, June 28, in the Presbyterian House at Chautauqua Institution. The Rev. Dr. Fred Cassell will officiate. Inurnment will be in the Chautauqua Cemetery.
Mr. Ferguson is survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Anita; his children: Charles (Ramona) Ferguson of Plainfield, N.J., David (Diana) Ferguson of Brad-ford, Pa., and Grace (Donald) Zarou of Cor-nelius, N.C; his beloved grandchildren: Adam, Eleanore, Grant, Loren, Max and Sarah; and his brother, William F. Fergu-son of Houston, Texas.
After gaining his Bachelor of Art from Bethany College, Chick then graduated with dis-tinction from the Air Force Officer Candidate School, and served as a 2nd Lieu-tenant. Following postgra-duate work in economics at the University of Pitts-burgh, he joined Rust En-gineering Co. of Pittsburgh, one of the world's largest construction and engineer-ing companies, rising to ex-ecutive vice-president and involved in projects such as the launch pads at Cape Canaveral. With 30 years of executive management ex-perience, he later joined Executive Manning Corp. as president with clients from the nation's most prominent corporations. For the past 20 years, he has been CEO of Kerygma, Inc., a leading publisher of Bible Study courses. He was a member of the board of directors of Desert Min-istries, the Chautauqua Presbyterian Association, the Duquesne Club and the Lauderdale Yacht Club.
