Jim and Donna Lee Higginbotham of Sherman celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary with a family dinner on May 16, 2009. They are the parents of Marianne Higginbotham of Cattaraugus, N.Y., and Joel Higginbotham of Cleveland, Ohio.
Higginbotham and the former Donna Lee Scofield were married May 16, 1959, in the Sherman Community Church. The late Rev. G. Taylor Wright performed the ceremony.
Higginbotham is retired from the Chautauqua County Department of Public Facilities. Mrs. Higginbotham is retired from the Chautauqua County Clerk's Office.
