ELLICOTT POLICE DEPARTMENT
Patricia A. Bloomgren, 44, of Ellington was charged with four counts of second-degree possession of a forged instrument and three counts of seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance Thursday, following an investigation into a complaint received by a local pharmacy. Police say that they learned that a prescription which Bloomgren filed was for a controlled substance and the refill limit had been altered. Investigators confirmed the alteration with the issuing doctor, and found similar disparities going back as far as 2007. Bloomgren allegedly confessed to altering the prescriptions and was charged, arraigned in Ellicott Town Court and released to return to court later.
JAMESTOWN POLICE DEPARTMENT
Stephen Michael Melice, 24, of Jamestown was charged with two counts of failure to keep right and driving while intoxicated Thursday morning, following a traffic stop on Livingston Avenue around 2:20 a.m. Police say that he was seen swerving on Palmer and Hallock streets prior to being pulled over, and he was allegedly intoxicated. He was taken into custody and released on bail with an appearance ticket.
CHAUTAUQUA COUNTY SHERIFF'S DEPARTMENT
DUNKIRK - Eric P. Dietrick, 22, of Orchard Park was charged with DWI and moving from lane unsafely, following a traffic stop on Vineyard Drive around 2:19 a.m. Thursday. He was given an appearance ticket and released.
NEW YORK STATE POLICE
ELLICOTT - Amanda M. Slagter, 30, of Frewsburg was charged with theft of services, fourth-degree criminal possession of stolen property and second-degree forgery Tuesday, following an investigation into an incident which happened at the Red Roof Inn on April 4. She was given an appearance ticket and will appear in court later.
CHARLOTTE - Justin L. Bimber, 26, of Sinclairville was charged with second-degree harassment on May 5, following an investigation into an incident which happened on April 24. He was given an appearance ticket and will appear in court later.
CATTARAUGUS COUNTY SHERIFF'S DEPARTMENT
Diane E. Baker, of Cherry Creek Road, Leon, was charged with second-degree harassment, unsafe backing and illegal handicap parking on Tuesday, after she allegedly tried to hit a person with her vehicle in the parking lot of the Leon post office. She also allegedly used the handicap parking space without a permit. She was arraigned and released to return to court later.
SALAMANCA POLICE DEPARTMENT
Ronnie G. Gutshall, 38, of Salamanca was charged with first-degree criminal sex act and endangering the welfare of a child on May 8, as police allege he had inappropriate contact with a minor. He was taken to the Cattaraugus County Jail and is being held awaiting further proceedings.
Christine L. White, 23, of Salamanca was charged with violating the noise ordinance as police allege that she hosted a large party and several neighbors complained.
Rodney S. Clousing Jr., 30, was charged with DWI, speeding, unlicensed operation and failure to keep right, following a traffic stop last Saturday. He was taken into custody and held awaiting arraignment.
James A. Jimerson, 39, of Salamanca was charged with DWI, moving from lane unsafely and improper left turn Wednesday, following a traffic stop around 12:30 a.m.
Glenn W. Miller, 41, of Salamanca was taken into custody on a warrant charging him with second-degree criminal contempt of court on Tuesday. He was released on $210 bail and will appear in court later.
PENNSYLVANIA STATE POLICE
YOUNGSVILLE - Police are investigating an incident where someone stole a 30-inch Excalibur sword from a large stone in the front yard of a home on Sulphur springs Road in Brokenstraw Township last Saturday. The sword has a gold and black handle, a chrome blade with an Excalibur stamp near the handle. A full-size brown truck was seen near the home with two young males. FARMINGTON TOWNSHIP - Police are investigating a burglary which happened at Caldwell Motor Toys where someone stole three different vehicles. Burglars stole a red 1998 Honda CR125 dirt bike, a green 1994 Kawasaki KDX dirt bike and a 2002 Honda TRX450 ATV. BROKENSTRAW TOWNSHIP - Jeremy D. Hendickson, 20, of Spring Creek, Pa., was charged with driving under the influence, underage consumption, public drunkeness and disorderly conduct after police allegedly found him sleeping behind the wheel of his vehicle on Monday with the engine running and music turned up. He was taken into custody and released with an appearance ticket.
WARREN - William J. Meyer, 50, was charged with assault and harassment after he allegedly punched another patient at the Warren State Hospital in the ear on Sunday.
