Kathleen D. Smith, 58, of 31 Weeks St., died at 11:20 a.m. Monday (April 6, 2009), in WCA Hospital.

An area resident for most of her life, she was born Dec. 13, 1950, in Olean, N.Y., a daughter of Edward Gould and the late Esther Hall Gould.

She will be remembered as a very strong willed woman who overcame many obstacles during her lifetime. She loved to spend time knitting, crocheting and watching her soap operas. She was also an avid fan of the WWF and spent many hours watching her favorite wrestlers.

Surviving is her father of Riverside, Fla.; a sister, Michelle Euscher of Jamestown; several nieces and nephews including: Joe Mercado and Michael (Heidi) Shaw, both of Andover, N.Y., Frank (Terry) Brown, Tanya (Sherry) Blue, Michael and Christina Euscher, all of Jamestown, and Kelsey (Tony) Havens of Wellsville, N.Y.

Besides her mother, she was preceded in death by two brothers: Joseph D. and Stephen E. Gould; and a sister, Donna M. Brown.

A family gathering and service of remembrance will be held at 1:30 p.m. Thursday at the home of her niece, Tanya Blue, 8 Kingsbury St., Jamestown, N.Y. Please phone 708-6575 for directions and any questions.
