CATTARAUGUS COUNTY SHERIFF'S DEPARTMENT
SOUTH DAYTON - Harry J. Smeal, 38, of 133 Oak St., South Dayton, was charged with four counts of endangering the welfare of a child and one count of criminal possession of a weapon Jan. 2. Deputies allege Smeal shot and killed a dog in the downstairs of his residence while a woman and four children were upstairs. Smeal was released on his own recognizance and is scheduled to appear in South Dayton Court on Jan. 15.
SALAMANCA POLICE DEPARTMENT
A 16-year-old male from Great Valley was cahrged with fourth-degree criminal possession of stolen property, unauthorized use of a motor vehicle, second-degree obstruction of governmental administration, resisting arrest, trespassing, unlawful possession of marijuana and several traffic infractions Thursday. He was arraigned and sent to the Cattaraugus County Jail in lieu of bail. He will return to Salamanca City Court on Jan. 14.
PENNSYLVANIA STATE POLICE AT WARREN
YOUNGSVILLE - Steven Klark, 25, of Youngsville, Pa., was charged with driving under the influence Sunday, after he allegedly fled on foot during a traffic stop.
