Edgar V. Grover

STEAMBURG, N.Y. - Edgar V. Grover, 64, of Jones Hill Road, passed away Dec. 30, 2008, at his home, with his beloved wife and family by his side.

He was born March 6, 1944, in the town of Carroll, the son of the late Clinton and Doris Michielsen Grover. He was also predeceased by Carl and Geneivieve Grover who raised him.

Mr. Grover was a auto body man who was proud of the projects he restored and loved his family and close circle of friends. He was a social member of the Randolph Veterans of Foreign Wars.

He is survived by his wife of 39 years, Dorothy ''Dott'' McKay Grover of Steamburg; three sons: Kevin (Sheri) Grover of Gowanda, Steven (Shonda) Kane of Dunkirk, Ind. and Chad (Kristine) Grover of Simpsonville, S.C.; three daughters: Crystal (Robert) O'Connor of Gowanda, Carolyn (Jamie) Phillips of Simpsonville, S.C., and Michelle (Paul) Benim of Erie, Pa.; 15 grandchildren; a brother, LeeRoy (Nancy) Grover of East Randolph; and several nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by a son, Mark Grover.

Friends will be received on Saturday, Jan. 3, 2008 at 11 a.m. in the Randolph Veterans of Foreign Wars.

Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society or to Homecare and Hospice.

Arrangements are under the direction of Mentley Funeral Home Inc., 411 Rock City St., Little Valley, N.Y.
