Mary C. Frary, 85, formerly of Jamestown, died Monday, Nov. 3, 2008, in the Windsor House at Snyder Memorial Health Care Center in Marienville, Pa.
She was born March 12, 1923, in Sherman, N.Y., a daughter of the late Arthur and Jenny Hazelton Franklin.
Mary had been employed by MRC, Monitor Furniture and Jamestown Sterling, and from 1971 to 1988 worked as an aide at Warren State Hospital.
She was a member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church.
Mary enjoyed family and friends and was always willing to lend a helping hand. She also loved to sew and crochet in her spare time.
Surviving is a daughter, Carole (Jack) Brown of Randolph; son Thomas (Ethel) Frary of Cattaraugus; and six grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandson.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three sisters: Bernice Jensen, Patricia DuVall and Margaret DuVall; and three brothers: James, Richard and Robert Franklin.
A private family service will be held. Visitation will not be observed.
