North Harmony Seniors will meet for their annual chicken and rib barbecue catered by Hungry Hannas on Monday, Sept. 15 Reservations are required; call 782-2431 by Wednesday, Sept. 10. The event will be hosted by Barb Johnson, Audrey White, Mary Lou Blakeslee and Eileen Rensel who will provide a birthday cake.
Fifty members attended a recent meeting and tureen dinner. Committee members were Mary and Glenn Pratt, Loretta Harper and Blanche Tracy. Gordon Saulsgiver led in the blessing. Steve Saulsgiver, president, led in the flag salute. Reports by Joyce Warner, secretary, and Anita Ferry, treasurer, were approved as read. Kathy Silzle spoke on future trips and Art Thomas, movie and lunch chairman, the next movie.
Mrs. Pratt provided the birthday cake for Eleanor King, Ms. White, Blanche Hodges and Bob Franklin.
John Anderson provided entertainment.
Harriet Smith thanked everyone who contributed to the Senior Council baskets, and Steve Saulsgiver thanked all those who participated in the recent lawn sale.
A motion to hold a shower in October to supply items for the club house, a cake auction in November and also to install a new kitchen floor was passed.
The meeting closed with prayer.
