Are you back to school shopping? Don't forget about lunch box items. It's no secret that children are more likely to eat things they've chosen themselves.

Items like dried fruits, pretzels, nuts or cereal can be purchased now. Put children in charge of packaging these foods into single-serving snack bags, then store them in an air-tight container ready to toss into a lunch box.

Also have children pick their favorite 100 percent juice pouches or boxes, which can be stored in the freezer then placed in lunch boxes to keep contents cool during the day.
