Nicolas ''Nick'' Pacheco, 59, of 265 Willard St., died at 3:15 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 27, 2008 in WCA Hos-pital.
An area resident since 1968, he was born Jan. 21, 1949 in Puerto Rico, a son of the late Juan and Nieves Colon Pacheco.
Nick was employed as a cabinet maker by Chase Interiors for over 20 years and from 1994 to 2005 by Lexington Die Cast in Lakewood.
In earlier years he belonged to St. James Church and more recently attended Busti Church of God. He was also a member of the Westfield Moose.
Known as ''Tricky Nicky" in his baseball days, he began playing in Puerto Rico at the age of 14. He played for various teams locally, including the Puerto Rican Social Club team.
Nick enjoyed hunting and fishing, Bingo and slots, and doing jigsaw puzzles.
Surviving are his wife, Janice Young Pacheco, whom he married Oct. 25, 1997; five children: Alicia (Ken) Riley and Tammy (Scott) Pacheco, both of Falconer, and Brenda (Mike) Pacheco, Nicole (Russell) Pacheco and Charles Thielges, all of Jamestown; two stepchildren: Paige Miller and Jeffrey Beish, both of Jamestown; 16 grandchildren: Amanda, Andrew, Ashlee, Anna, Kody, Justin, Taylor, Nicolas, Monica, Darren, Kaylah, Skyler, Taitum, Joey, Rich and Charles Jr.; a brother: Hipolito ''Paul'' Pacheco of Jamestown; two sisters: Carmen Pacheco of Jamestown and Santa Doud of Ashville; five bothers and one sister in Puerto Rico; and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Santo Pacheco, and five brothers and five sisters in Puerto Rico.
The funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday in the Lind Funeral Home. The Rev. Roy E. Ferguson will officiate. Burial will be in Busti Cemetery.
Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday in the funeral home.
