Anthony S. Barone

Anthony Samuel ''Nina'' Barone went home to be with the Lord on Saturday (Aug. 23, 2008).

He was born on Sept. 29, 1938, the son of the late Phi-lomena and Samuel Barone.

Anthony served in the U.S. Marine Corps from 1956, with an honorable discharge in 1962.

He retired from Metropol-itan Life Insurance Co. after 30 years of service. He was the branch manager for Laidlaw Transit in Fredonia, NY, before retiring Jan. 2, 2008. Anthony was a member of Harvest Chapel Free Methodist Church in Fredonia.

He is survived by his wife, Lorraine (Smith) Barone of Dunkirk, N.Y.; three chil-dren: Cynthia (Bill) Davis of Akron, Ohio, Gregory S. and Martha (Galindo) Barone of Kingston, Ontario, Canada and Anthony R. and Stephanie (Morey) Barone of Jamestown, NY; three sis-ters: Theresa Leone and Kathy Dimmer, both of Dunkirk, and Rachel Uba-ney of Batavia, N.Y.; one brother, Patrick Barone of Queens, N.Y.; nine grand children; one great-gran-dson; and many nieces and nephews.

Private services will be held at the convenience of the family. There will be no calling hours.

In lieu of flowers, dona-tions can be made to Hos-pice of Chautauqua County, 4840 West Lake Road, May-ville, NY, 14757 or Meals On Wheels of Dunkirk -Fredonia 314 Central Ave., Ste. 201, Dunkirk, NY, 14048.

Arrangements are by the McGraw-Kowal Funeral Home in Dunkirk.
