Grace H. Reese, 83, of 5787 Niobe Road, Panama, went into the presence of her Savior early Wednesday morning, July 23, 2008, at her home.

An area resident all of her life, she was born June 28, 1925, a daughter of the late Ray and Jennie DeVlieger Lopus.

She was employed for many years by Falconer Metal Specialties, retiring in 1990.

Grace was a member of the Niobe Baptist Church, where she had served as Mis-sionary treasurer as well as financial secretary.

Surviving is a son, Donald R. (Sandy) Reese of Waterville, NY; four grandchildren: Chad (Aryn) Reese of Chaffee, N.Y., Christa (Martin) Stockwell of Perth, N.Y., and Chris and Cara Reese of Waterville; and three great-grandchildren: Amity Grace and Miles Stockwell, and Izzabella Grace Reese.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald E. Reese, whom she married Dec. 28, 1949, and who died June 13, 2007; and a brother, Ernest Lopus

The funeral will be held at 12 p.m. noon Saturday in the Lind Funeral Home. The Rev. Kevin Hadley, pastor of the Niobe Baptist Church, will officiate. Burial will be in the Grant Cemetery, Niobe.

Friends will be received for two hours prior to the service in the funeral home Saturday.
