JAMESTOWN POLICE DEPARTMENT
Kevin J. Eppinger, 47, of 222 Dale Drive, Cassadaga, was charged with felony DWI, speeding, first-degree aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle and refusal to submit to a prescreen test Saturday. At approximately 1:54 a.m., Eppinger was observed allegedly traveling in excess of the posted speed limit on Harrison St. He was stopped by officers for the speeding offense. A subsequent investigation led to Eppinger being charged with other charges. The DWI and the first-degree unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle are felony charges due to previous convictions.
Daniel L. Schroder Jr., 28, of 16 W. Cowden St., Jamestown, was charged with disorderly conduct. Around 11:35 p.m. Saturday, Jamestown Police patrolling in the area of the Kwik Fill located at 342 Forest Ave. observed Schroder allegedly urinating on the side door of the business. The business was still open and several patrons were entering and exiting the store at the time, and they could have easily viewed Schroder urinating. He was issued an appearance ticket and will appear in city court at a later date.
Michael J. Dove, 35, of Jamestown, was charged with obstructing governmental administration and unlawful possession of marijuana Saturday. Around 10 p.m., officers responded to 22 Howard Ave. on a report of a possible stabbing. During the investigation, a subject, later identified as Dove, allegedly refused to cooperate with officers and hindered their investigation. It was determined Dove did tell a family member that he had been stabbed, which led them to contact police. Dove was arrested for obstruction of governmental administration for his actions and a small amount of marijuana was located on him for which he was also charged. Dove was transported to Jamestown City Jail, where he was processed and released on bail.
LAKEWOOD-BUSTI POLICE DEPARTMENT
Ryan M. Hurley, of 111 Jones St., Lakewood, was charged with fourth-degree criminal mischief and second-degree harassment Thursday. Hurley was allegedly involved in a domestic dispute with his wife, which resulted in damage to piece of jewelry.
CHAUTAUQUA COUNTY SHERIFF'S DEPARTMENT
On Saturday, police agencies near the town of Pomfret responded to a report of a missing person. A 63 year-old male left an adult home in the town of Pomfret and became lost in a thick and wooded area. Sheriff's Deputies responded with the assistance of the Sheriff's K-9 Unit, New York State Police, Fredonia Police Department, Fredonia Fire Department and the Brocton Fire Department. After a three-hour search, the individual was located in the area and was transported by ambulance to Brooks Hospital for evaluation.
NEW YORK STATE POLICE AT JAMESTOWN
Dennis J. Harmon, 23, and Daniel J. Harmon, 21, both of Jamestown, were arrest following a traffic stop on Route 60 for no headlight Saturday. The brothers were charged with second-degree criminal impersonation after giving the other brother's name as their own. Both were also charged with unlawful possession of marijuana after the patrol allegedly located two burnt marijuana cigarettes inside the vehicle. Dennis Harmon was charged with seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance after the patrol located Vicodin medication belonging to Dennis. Both subjects were arraigned in Kiantone Court and Dennis was sent to Chautauqua County Jail in lieu of $1,000 cash bail, while Daniel had bail set at $250 cash.
James G. Hall, 28, of Ashville, was arrested after a domestic incident on Waltonian Road, Ashville. Hall is accused of punching a female victim in the mouth, causing injury and not letting the victim leave a room. He was charged with third-degree assault and second-degree unlawful imprisonment. The patrol also found Hall to have a warrant from South Carolina Parole. He was sent to Chautauqua County Jail and is expected to be extradited for the parole violation.
David L. Furlow, 66, of Kennedy, was charged with second-degree harassment after an incident at Pine Bluff Trailer Court on July 9. Furlow allegedly grabbed a young child by the ear. He was issued a criminal summons and will appear in Poland Town Court.
Craig R. Zinger, 45, of Frewsburg, was charged with aggravated DWI after a traffic stop on Frew Run Road in Frewsburg on July 15. He was stopped for a traffic violation and was allegedly found to be intoxicated after failing sobriety tests. He was processed at the State Police at Jamestown barracks and released with tickets to appear in Carroll Town Court.
Warkim M. Keys, 22, of Jamestown, was charged with second-degree harassment after an incident on Sager Road in Sinclairville on July 17. Keys allegedly made threats to kill or injure several people that put them in fear for their safety. A warrant was obtained by the patrol and executed on Keys. He was arraigned in North Harmony Town Court and sent to Chautauqua County Jail in lieu of $1,000 cash bail. An order of protection was also issued.
Debra A. Ingerson, 43, of Sinclairville, was arrested pursuant to a bench warrant issued from the Charlotte Town Court for DWI. She was arrested at Hillside Estates and arraigned in Charlotte Court, where bail was set at $1,240. She was taken to Chautauqua County Jail.
Stephanie R. Gassman, 18, of Cold Spring, was arrested pursuant to an arrest warrant held by Cattaraugus County after a traffic stop on Lebanon Road. Jesse W. Green, 20, of Steamburg, was operating Ms. Gassman's vehicle when he was stopped by a patrol for a loud muffler. He was found to possess a suspended driver's license and charged with third-degree aggravated unlicensed operation, loud muffler and uninspected motor vehicle. He was issued tickets returnable to Cold Spring Town Court. Ms. Gassman was located by the patrol shortly after and turned over to Cattaraugus County.
