Dr. Richard B. Peters Joins JAMA

Dr. Richard B. Peters has joined Jamestown Area Medical Associates as a neurologist, specializing in the diagnosis and treatment of all common neurological conditions.

Peters trained at Georgetown University, the University of Maryland, Sheppard and Enoch Pratt Hospital, and was an assistant professor of EMG and Neuromuscular Diseases at Rush Medical College before joining Kaiser Permanente in Washington D.C., where he served as the chief of neurology for more than 10 years. He is board certified by the American College of Neurology.

Peters is a clinical neurologist with almost 30 years of clinical experience in the diagnosis and treatment of all common neurological conditions, including seizures, multiple sclerosis, stroke, back and neck pain, headache, neuropathy, Parkinson's disease, dementia, movement disorders, narcolepsy, neuromuscular diseases, trigeminal neuralgia and pseudotumor cerebri. He has EMG fellowship training and is skilled in performing EMG and nerve conduction studies. He also reads EEGs. In addition, Peters has training and experience in the psychiatric manifestations of neurological illness.
